PBR Kicks Off Last Cowboy Standing in Fort Collins

This week, as the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Teams Series takes a scheduled bye, the entire bull riding world sets its sights on Fort Collins, Colorado. The reason? The Last Cowboy Standing event at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium, where thirty-five of the world’s elite bull riders will seek individual glory.
Stuck far from Fort Collins? No problem — PBR brings the pulse-pounding action straight to you! Stream every thrilling ride live on PBR+, RidePass (via Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, or Vizio’s WatchFree), PBR’s YouTube, or Facebook. For the fans filling Canvas Stadium, Monday’s excitement gets a boost with Cross Canadian Ragweed’s gritty performance, and Tuesday’s Championship showdown wraps with Jon Pardi’s electrifying country hits.
Now, Last Cowboy Standing is renowned for its intense, progressive elimination format, specifically refined for Fort Collins. On Monday, July 21st, all 35 riders will get one out in Round 1. Then, on Tuesday, July 22nd, the competition intensifies: Round 2 will feature the top 20 riders from Monday. From there, the number of riders will be narrowed down to the top 8 for Round 3 and then to the top 4 for Round 4. The fifth and final round will see these four contenders each get one more out, with the rider achieving the highest score being crowned the Last Cowboy Standing and taking home a massive $100,000 prize!
The fans inside the Canvas Stadium will be able to use all of their seat, but reviewing the daysheet for Monday night’s Round 1 makes it appear they’ll be using the edge of that seat. With riders like 2022 PBR World Champion Daylon Swearingen, Clay Guiton, Cort “The Texas Hammer” McFadden, Eduardo “Fast Eddy” Aparecido, Thiago “Baby T” Salgado, and to close out the night of bull riding, Florida Freedom’s John Crimber. With these riders, round 1 will most definitely be must-watch television!
Could Eduardo “Fast Eddy” Aparecido, the 2017 PBR Iron Cowboy champion, who famously conquered that demanding format inside AT&T Stadium, surprise everyone again this year? Or could Daniel Keeping, a consistent force who currently holds the PBR Camping World Team Series record for most consecutive rides at ten, have a breakout performance and take home that sweet $100,000 check back to Texas from Colorado? This format will test the grit and determination of each of the thirty-five elite cowboys.
This event is where some riders can truly shine under pressure. In the last iteration of the event held inside Dickies Arena this past fall, New York Maverick #ConcreteCowboy Leandro Zampollo took the victory. And last summer in Cheyenne, Texas Rattler Ezekiel Mitchell survived the format to claim the title.
Don’t miss a second of the action from Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins, Colorado, as it will be must-watch television that may even have you on the edge of your seat at home. Be sure to catch all the excitement as it happens on PBR+, RidePass (available on Pluto TV, The Roku Channel, Vizio’s WatchFree), PBR’s YouTube and Facebook, with Monday, July 21st’s Round One starting at 8:30 PM ET and the exciting conclusion on Championship Tuesday, July 22nd, with all the action starting at 8:30 PM ET
