2025 PBR Camping World Teams Series Power Ranking

The countdown is on! As the teams continue to hold training camps and some riders compete in various PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Challenger Series events, the coaches have their eyes on July 11-13. The Oklahoma Wildcatter Days will serve as the highly anticipated season-opening event for the 2025 PBR Camping World Team Series. Of course, each team is hungry and looking to leave with a perfect record. But which team has the edge from Unleash the Beast performances and Challenger Series? Here are our Pre-Season Power Rankings for the 2025 PBR Camping World Teams Series.
1. Austin Gamblers
As the reigning and defending Teams Champions, of course, the Gamblers – who have been labeled as the “New York Yankees” by fans – are the favorites.
Yes, this powerhouse team has gone all-in, assembling quite a roster. Three-time PBR World Champion Jose Vitor Leme, “Mr. Ninety-points” Dalton Kasel, 2018 PBR World Champion Kaique Pacheco, and rounding out the aces of this formidable Austin Squad 7-time PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association) Bull Riding World Champion Sage Kimzey. It’s easy to see why the Gamblers should be the early favorite.
2. Carolina Cowboys
The Carolina Cowboys last season showed they should not be overlooked, finishing a dominant second at the Teams Championship. After acquiring Clay Guilton via a trade with the Oklahoma Wildcatters, their roster gains a significant boost. Guiton, a rising star, has already made waves in 2025, demonstrating his potential with strong performances in the Unleash The Beast series, including a 91.25-point ride on Eyes On Me at the World Finals.
But the Cowboys are far from a one-man show. They boast a formidable lineup that includes 2016 PBR World Champion Cooper Davis, 2022 PBR World Champion Daylon Swearingen, and consistent veteran Derek Kolbaba. While two-time PBR World Champion Jess Lockwood is a massive talent, it’s important to note his challenging history with injuries. His potential is undeniable, but his consistent presence will be key. Their collective experience and ability to consistently produce qualified rides make them a serious threat to the Gamblers’ throne.
Under the guidance of Head Coach Jerome Davis, this team has proven they know how to win, and the addition of Guiton (and the hope for a healthy Lockwood) only adds another layer of firepower, positioning them as a clear contender heading into Wildcatter Days.
3. Florida Freedom
Placing the Florida Freedom flock at third may surprise some, who see the team as having only one superstar rider, John Crimber, who, yes, indeed, did break his collarbone during the World Finals but still showed incredible grit.
However, that overlooks what Head Coach Paulo Crimber was able to accomplish in one year with the Freedom. Florida had the top draft pick in 2023 based on finishing in last place. Last year, the team made an early exit from the Teams Championship, but significantly, they advanced to Championship Sunday, unlike in previous years, demonstrating significant growth. Placing them lower also overlooks consistent contributions of riders like Elzimar Jeremias, Thiago “Baby-T” Salgado, and the recent signing of veteran Joao Ricardo Veiera as a free agent. Vieira, a seasoned top-tier rider with over 500 career rides, brings invaluable experience and consistency. Jeremias and Salgado have also shown flashes of brilliance in the Challenger and Unleash The Beast series, proving they can put up big scores. The flock of the Florida Freedom may be the dark horse team to watch this season.
4. Texas Rattlers
The Rattlers may rank lower to some based on their finish last season. Still, the second team to call Texas home should always be considered a legitimate contender, deserving of a high placement in these power rankings.
Under the astute guidance of Head Coach Cody Lmaber, the “venom in denim” boasts a lineup with explosive potential. Leading the charge is Australian sensation Brady Fielder, who consistently proved himself as one of the league’s most efficient riders in 2024, clinching the “Great 8 Award” for the highest riding percentage (70%). Fielder is undoubtedly no stranger to putting up 90+ point rides, showcasing his elite skills. Alongside him is the electrifying Dan “Da Man” Keeping, a utility rider known for his consistent efforts and ability to deliver clutch-qualified rides. The consistent veteran presence of Claudio Montanha further solidifies their roster, bringing a wealth of experience to the chutes. With this core group of dynamic riders and a knack for peaking at the right time (they are former PBR Camping World Teams Champions from 2023!), do not sleep on this team or consider them anything less than a formidable contender.
5. Arizona Ridge Riders
The Arizona Ridge Riders did not have the 2024 season they’d hoped for, but with the first overall pick in the 2025 PBR Camping World Teams Draft, they selected the highly-touted Jhon Carlos Moreira. This young Brazilian sensation, already making waves in the Challenger series and PBR Brazil, is poised to be an immediate game-changer. When added to the rest of their talented roster, Moreira makes the Arizona Ridge Riders a team to watch as the season progresses.
Moreria will be joining a formidable core that includes Luciano de Castro, who has consistently delivered clutch riders for the team and brings vast experience—serving as Captain Eduardo “Fast Eddie” Apareceido, a consistent force on the Unleash The Beast tour and a proven leader. Moreover, Keyshawn Whitehorse has truly turned the corner, transforming into a consistent, high-scoring rider game after game. With Moreria injecting new energy and elite talent into an already capable lineup, coupled with the strategic guidance of Head Coach Colby Yates, the Ridge Riders are looking to put their disappointing 2024 behind them and make a strong run in 2025. Don’t be surprised if they climb higher than this initial ranking!
6. Kansas City Outlaws
As the reigning 2024 PBR Camping World Teams Series Regular Season Champions, some might place the Outlaws higher in their rankings, and on paper, that might seem like the obvious call. They dominated the regular season, showcasing consistency under Head Coach J.W. Hart. However, despite that impressive feat, boasting the talent of 2024 PBR World Champion Cassio Dias and the consistent firepower of Sandro Batista, the Outlaws face an uphill climb due to concerns about their overall depth.
While Dias was a revelation and Batista a rock, the team relied heavily on these two stars throughout the 2024 season. Beyond them, consistently, qualified rides were harder to come by, particularly in the critical Teams Championship, where they ultimately fell short. While they have riders like Koltin Hevalow and Julio Cesar Marques who can contribute, the question remains whether the younger riders, such as Daniel Feitosa or Eric Novoa, can consistently step up and produce at the elite level required to challenge the top five. Without a broader base of high-performing riders, the Outlaws might struggle to maintain their regular-season dominance when facing the stacked rosters of other top-tier teams in 2025.
7. New York Mavericks
As one of the 2024 Expansion teams, the New York Mavericks surprised everyone by winning the “Ride-In” to advance to the Teams Championship last year. While that performance showed their immense potential, it’s that elusive consistency that keeps them at number seven in our pre-season rankings. This year, under the tutelage of Head Coach Kody Lostroh, the Mavericks aim to build on that success with a core led by 2025 PBR Rookie of the Year Hudson Bolton, the talented Caden Bunch, and veteran leader Mason Taylor.
Bolton’s meteoric rise, paired with Bunch’s grit and Taylor’s experience, forms a formidable trio capable of putting up big scores on any given night. Backing up are solid contributors like Marco Rizzo and Mauricio Gulla Moreira, rounding out a roster with significant firepower. If this team is firing on all cylinders, they have the talent to challenge any squad in the league, making them incredibly hard to bet against. However, maintaining that high level of performance game after game will be their biggest challenge in 2025 as they look to solidify their position among the league’s elite.
8. Oklahoma Wildcatters
It may shock some to see the Wildcatters this low in the rankings, especially with PRCA Bull Riding World Champion Josh Frost and “The Texas Hammer” Cort McFadden on their roster alongside Eduardo Matos. However, the Wildcatters did not have the season Head Coach JB Mauney had hoped for, relying heavily on Matos in their games.
While Matos had an impressive year, making significant contributions to the team’s points, including a Wildcatter’s best 92.5-point ride on Flyin’ Wired, the team’s overall performance fell short of expectations. Matos was a consistent force, often putting up critical scores when the team needed them most.
Josh Forst, the reigning PRCA Bull Riding World Champion, has recently returned to action after shoulder surgery, showing promising form with two checks at recent rodeos. His consistent performance throughout his career makes him a valuable asset. Cort McFadden also demonstrated his capabilities with some intense rides, including 88.25 on Casper. He also put up a huge 90.25-point ride on Blowhard and a 90-point ride on Preacher’s Kid in early 2025.
Despite having top-tier talent, the Wildcatters have struggled to translate individual brilliance into consistent team wins. For the upcoming season, the Wildcatters will need more collective effort and higher riding percentages from all of their key riders to climb higher in the power rankings and truly contend for a championship. The potential is undeniably there, but execution will be key.
9. Missouri Thunder
Yes, the Thunder does have the switch rider Paulo Eduardo Rossetto, Boudreaux Campbell, and Andrew Alvidrez, all of whom are formidable riders. The Thunder, just like the Wildcatters, have struggled to capitalize on individual talent or have it gel into team success.
Paulo Eduardo Rosetto has shown flashes of greatness, including a career-first win at the Unleash The Beast event recently. He’s proven he can put up big scores, such as his 90.75-point ride on Demon and an 88.5-point ride on One Chance, as well as his recent 88.25-point ride on Blown Away. His versatility as a switch rider is a tremendous asset.
Boudreaux Campbell is a consistent force, known for his grit and determination, as demonstrated by rides like his 88.25 points on Judgment Day. He’s a veteran presence who can deliver when the pressure is on.
Andrew Alvidrez is another standout, capable of delivering electrifying performances. He recently earned the Mason Lowe Award with a regular season-best 94-pointer on the two-time YETI World Champion Bull Man Hater and also scored 91.25 on Ghost Face. When he’s on, he’s one of the best in the business.
Despite these individual highlights, the Missouri Thunder have consistently found themselves toward the bottom of the rankings. The challenge for Head Coach Ross Coleman will be to harness the considerable talent of these riders and create a cohesive unit that consistently converts rides into team wins. The potential for a significant jump in the standings is there if they can find that missing ingredient to turn intense individual rides into collective victories.
10. Nashville Stampede
Yes, the inaugural PBR Teams Champions find themselves at the bottom of these rankings. They haven’t had the standout performances that propelled them to victory in the first Teams Championship. With riders like Kaiden Loud, Alan de Souza, and Cody Jesus, the Stampede have been struggling to find that cohesive bond the team had back in 2022.
However, this year, with their current roster, Head Coach Justin McBride and assistant coach, three-time PBR World Champion Silvano Alves, may have finally found it.
Kaiden Loud is a rising star who has consistently demonstrated tremendous potential in 2025. He delivered impressive rides, including an 89.75-point ride on No Bull and an 87.75-point ride on the Colonel. His ability to put up big scores makes him a key player for the Stampede.
Alan de Souza is a seasoned veteran who has started 2025 with strong performances, including an 89-point ride on Rank Frank and an 88-point ride on Sneaky Situation. His experience and consistent ability to ride could be crucial for the Stampede to find their rhythm.
Cody Jesus is another high-caliber rider known for his explosive style and ability to conquer tough bulls. In 2025, he recorded an 86.5-point ride on Bad Intentions and an 86.25-point ride on Black as Coal, demonstrating his continued ability to produce solid scores.
The challenge for the Nashville Stampede has been consistency and finding a way for their talents to perform at a championship level collectively. If McBride and Alves have indeed unlocked that synergy and focus, the Stampede could be a dark horse to watch. Their championship pedigree proves they have what it takes, and a renewed sense of purpose could see them quickly climb these rankings.
