TKO Acquires PBR, Creating Premium Sports Juggernaut

TKO, the premium sports and entertainment company comprised of UFC and WWE, today announced in an agreement to acquire PBR from Endeavor.

While PBR has grown and thrived under Endeavor, this is very exciting news for PBR, riders, partners and fans.

Combined, UFC and WWE hold more than 300 annual eventsm reaching more than 1-billion households in approximately 210 countries and territories.

Add in PBR’s 200 annual events, and you have a formidable premium sports juggernaut..especially with PBR Teams adding new franchises in the 2024 season and just concluding a thrilling championship in Las Vegas. Next, the Unleash The Beast individual season opens up in Tucson on Nov . 15.

Moving PBR into a fast-growing, well-run organization that includes WWE and UFC should bode well for continuing to bring new marquee brand partnerships to PBR. Remember, PBR’s Anheuser-Busch deal, announced just as the sport stormed into Madison Square Garden this past January, was a UFC-PBR package sale.

Now, moving to TKO, we can expect a new era of growth as the sport continues to establish itself as a true major competitor in the live sports arena – a natural point of connection to UFC and WWE under TKO.

This should be very positive for bull riders. With the advent of PBR Teams, rider compensation has already doubled, and that remains a prioity for PBR leadership, with Sean Gleason continuing at the helm as CEO and Commissioner in the new structure.

TKO has said that the transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2025.

After that, how cool would it be for fans to buy a ticket to a PBR-WWE-UFC weekend. Will that happen? Will Matt West be a commentator on all three? We will see.
